Diamonds winning streak, Sonoma losing streak end

Both teams had four game streaks in opposite directions, so tonight’s 9-3 victory for Sonoma over the Diamonds put a halt to both of those recent trends. The Stompers threatened throughout the game. Despite their high run total, they still left 13 men on base.

Stompers starting pitcher Tyler Garkow had his usual sterling performance before being pulled from the game as it was announced he had been picked up to play for the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League.

Yuki Yusuda was 4 for 4 with a run scored and a run batted in to lead the Sonoma. Jose

Garcia hit his fifth homerun for Pittsburg.

Diamonds starter Dennis Neal (3-5) took the loss. Garkow (6-2) got the win.
