Pittsburg extend win-streak to four

A strong performance by starting pitcher Dennis Neal, two homeruns and four Vallejo errors added up to a 7-4 victory for the Diamonds, their fourth straight win.

Neal (1-0) spread out six hits and four runs over seven innings of pitching and got the win for Pittsburg. Jordan Brink pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save.

Chad Highberger had a two-run homer in the fourth and J. J. Wagner added a solo shot in the eighth to lead the Diamonds offense.

Marquis Hutchison suffered from four errors his teammates committed in the second inning allowing three runs. Hutchison (1-4) took the loss.

The Diamonds have won four of the five games on this homestand. The series finale is Thursday night at 6:30 at Winter Chevrolet Stadium in Pittsburg.
