Diamonds Complete Broadcasting Crew For 2017

PITTSBURG – The independent professional minor league baseball Pittsburg Diamonds announced today that they have filled out the broadcast booth for the upcoming season by hiring veteran play-by-play announcer Scott Macdonald as the number two sportscaster behind the voice of the Diamonds, Tony Schultz.

“With Scott now joining the voice of the Diamonds Tony Shultz. I'm sure our fans will be thrilled with every exciting broadcast,” said Pittsburg Diamonds president VJ Stauffer in announcing the hiring.

Macdonald said the new opportunity means “returning to the county where I grew up and the chance to be a part of what promises to be a great season of baseball for the Diamonds and the Pacific Association as a whole.”

Beginning with the Diamonds’ opener at Winter Chevrolet Stadium on June 2, Schultz and Macdonald will be covering Diamond games on radio station KLSN-92.9 FM and on Pittsburg’s cable access channel Delta TV and the internet.
